August 7th, 2016
Roscommon GAA is delighted to announce the appointment of Oliver Lennon as the new football Games Promotion Officer (GPO).
Seamus Sweeney Roscommon GAA County Chairman said “It’s great for Roscommon Coaching and Games Development to be able to secure funding to engage another GPO to assists clubs, schools & our own development squads in the development of our players.
I want to recognise the fantastic contribution Sean Mulryan has made in agreeing to assist in funding this position. It’s just another example of the commitment he has to underage development and the development and promotion of Gaelic Games in Co Roscommon. We have had a long association with Sean and this investment in the development of youth in Roscommon will I hope bear fruit for us in the not too distant future. I believe this further reinforces the commitment that Roscommon GAA has toward coaching and games development and providing support for our clubs”, he said.”
Oliver will work closely with the schools and clubs in South Roscommon. The nine clubs allocated to Oliver will be St Brigid’s, Clann na nGael, Padraig Pearses, St Dominic’s, Roscommon Gaels, Fuerty/St Ciaran’s, St Aidan’s, Oran.
