Dermot Hughes Cars Announced as Sponsor of Roscommon U20 Club Football Championships for 2026

Roscommon GAA is delighted to announce Dermot Hughes Cars, Roscommon, as the official sponsor of the 2026 Roscommon U20 Club Football Championships.
The announcement marks another welcome partnership between Roscommon GAA and a well-established local business, with Dermot Hughes Cars lending its support to one of the most exciting competitions on the county’s club football calendar.
The 2026 U20 Championships will be contested across three divisions, with the action scheduled to get underway in November, or earlier should the fixtures calendar allow.
Played on a straight knockout basis, the U20 Championships consistently deliver exciting, competitive football, with every game carrying huge significance. There is no room for error, and with a place in the next round at stake every time teams take to the field, supporters can look forward to plenty of closely contested encounters.
The competition also provides an important platform for the county’s emerging football talent, giving young players the opportunity to represent their clubs at a highly competitive level as they make the transition from underage to adult football.

Welcoming the sponsorship, Roscommon GAA Chairperson Thomas Murray said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Dermot Hughes Cars on board as sponsors of our U20 Club Football Championships for 2026.
“Dermot Hughes Cars is a well-known and respected business in Roscommon, and we are very grateful to Dermot and his team for their support of Gaelic Games in the county.
“The U20 Championship is a particularly important competition in our club calendar. It provides a fantastic opportunity for young footballers to showcase their ability, while also helping to bridge the gap between underage and adult football.
“With the straight knockout format, every game matters, and that brings a real sense of excitement and anticipation to the championship. We have seen some terrific football at this grade over the years, and I’m sure 2026 will be no different.
“On behalf of Roscommon GAA, I want to sincerely thank Dermot Hughes Cars for coming on board as our championship sponsor. The support of local businesses is hugely important to the continued development and promotion of Gaelic Games throughout Roscommon, and we look forward to a very successful championship.”
The draws for all three divisions is now complete, setting the stage for what promises to be another highly competitive U20 campaign.
Roscommon GAA wishes all participating clubs, players and management teams the very best of luck in the upcoming championships and looks forward to working with Dermot Hughes Cars throughout the competition.
