Connacht Gold continues its Sponsorship of Roscommon GAA Bord na nÓg Club Championships
Roscommon GAA and Roscommon GAA Bord na nÓg were delighted to officially launch the 2026 Connacht Gold Underage Club Championships recently, marking the continuation of Connacht Gold’s valued sponsorship of Roscommon GAA’s U14, U16 and Minor Club Championships across all 26 clubs in the county.
Speaking following the launch, Roscommon Bord na nÓg Secretary Marion Kelly expressed the organisation’s appreciation to Connacht Gold for its continued commitment to the development of underage Gaelic games in Roscommon.
“The launch of our underage championships is always an important occasion for Roscommon GAA, and we are extremely grateful that Connacht Gold has once again chosen to support these competitions. We are proud to be associated with such a respected, community-focused organisation whose values of community, commitment and development closely mirror those of Roscommon GAA.”
Connacht Gold has built a long-standing reputation for supporting rural communities, families and local organisations throughout the west of Ireland. Their continued investment in Roscommon GAA represents a significant commitment to the future of the game and to the young players who represent clubs across the county.
Reflecting on the importance of the sponsorship, Marion noted that the 2026 Connacht Gold Underage Club Championships are now underway, with all 26 Roscommon clubs participating across the various age grades.
“Behind every team is a dedicated network of coaches, parents, volunteers, referees, administrators and supporters whose commitment makes underage Gaelic games possible. The continued support of Connacht Gold helps us provide quality competitions, improve facilities and resources, and ensure our young players continue to enjoy the very best playing experience.”
Roscommon GAA expressed its sincere appreciation to Connacht Gold for its generosity and unwavering support over recent years. Marion added:

Roscommon Bord na nÓg also acknowledged everyone who has helped establish and strengthen the partnership over recent years.
Special recognition was given to Roscommon GAA County Chairperson Thomas Murray, Roscommon GAA Bord na nÓg Chair Shay Galvin and the Roscommon GAA Management Committee for their continued encouragement and commitment to underage development, which has played a significant role in the ongoing success of Bord na nÓg.
A particular word of appreciation was extended to Youth Fixtures Secretary Michael Cryan, who took up the role this year. His dedication and tireless work in organising underage fixtures throughout the county were warmly acknowledged.
Roscommon GAA also paid tribute to the many coaches, selectors, medical teams, administrators, referees, parents and volunteers who devote countless hours to providing opportunities for young footballers across the county. Their commitment remains the foundation upon which underage football continues to flourish.
The launch concluded with best wishes to all participating clubs for an enjoyable and successful championship season, together with renewed thanks to Connacht Gold for its outstanding and continued support of underage Gaelic games in Roscommon.
