Brian Hanley Steps Down as Roscommon GAA Senior Hurling Manager

Roscommon GAA can confirm that Brian Hanley has stepped down from his role as Roscommon Senior Hurling Manager following one year in charge.

A native of Athenry, Co. Galway, Brian enjoyed a hugely successful playing career with Athenry GAA, winning eight Galway Senior Hurling Championship titles and three All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling titles. He also represented Galway at minor and U21 level before going on to build an extensive coaching and management career.

During his time at the helm in Roscommon, Brian guided the county through the 2026 National Hurling League Division 3 campaign and the Christy Ring Cup, overseeing the continued development of the senior hurling panel throughout the season.

Roscommon GAA would like to sincerely thank Brian for the commitment, dedication and professionalism he has shown to Roscommon hurling throughout his time as manager.
