Tomás Gilleran Appointed Roscommon U17 Football Manager

Roscommon GAA is pleased to announce the appointment of Tomás Gilleran as Roscommon U17 Football Manager.

The St Dominic’s clubman was ratified in the role at the Roscommon GAA County Board meeting on Thursday, 24th September.

Tomás brings considerable playing and coaching experience to the position. During his career with St Dominic’s, he managed the club to an Intermediate Football Championship title. He has also previously been involved with the Roscommon U20 football setup as a selector.

Away from Gaelic Games, Tomás is a teacher at Athlone Community College and resides in Knockcroghery.

Welcoming the appointment, Roscommon GAA Bord na nÓg Chairperson Shay Galvin said:

“We are delighted that Tomás has agreed to take on the role of Roscommon U17 Football Manager. He brings valuable experience from both his managerial career with St Dominic’s and his previous involvement with the Roscommon U20 setup.

“On behalf of Roscommon GAA Bord na nÓg, I wish Tomás every success in the role and look forward to working with him as preparations begin for the 2027 season.”

Details of Tomás’s backroom team will be announced at a later date.
