Dublin hurling link with Roscommon

April 15th, 2017

We don’t normally write about Dublin hurling, however, today a young man named Ben Mc Hugh played at full back on the Dublin Minor Team in their Leinster Championship game against Laois.

Ben is a member of Raheny GAA and his club doesn't  get many representatives on Dublin Hurling teams.  Over the past 18 years, the family has spent all their summers at Cruby Hill Roscommon Town and go to as many of the Roscommon Hurling and football games as they can.

It seems that all the Cul camps Ben attended in the Hyde over the years have made the difference So Proinsias Killian and Willie Hegarty need to stop helping Dublin succeed in their effort to rule the world of football and hurling!

The good news is that Dublin won on a score line of Laois 1-8 Dublin 1-11 and Ben and his family are hitting Roscommon after the game.

Well done Ben. Oh and Willie and Proinsias too!!
