Ballymore Founder and Executive Chairman Sean Mulryan has been included on the Business Post’s list of “the most influential people in Ireland’s property sector”.

Sean Mulryan, who has been involved in development with Ballymore since 1982, has made some major marks on the skylines and suburbs of Ireland, Britain and mainland Europe.
Over the past 44 years, he has delivered more than 35,000 homes and close to 400,000 square metres of commercial space.
He helped revamp the Dublin docklands area through Dublin Landings, a large residential and office scheme that now houses hundreds of apartments, the Central Bank and the National Treasury Management Agency.
Mulryan’s Irish business, led by Patrick Phelan, managing director, and Patrick Dalton, group finance director, has big projects in the works, including the Guinness Quarter project in Dublin 8 and Dublin Arch at Connolly Station.
Mulryan now has a new passion project: to transform Athlone into a green city with a potential population of 100,000 by 2040. He has placed one of his trusted Irish executives, David Killion, Ballymore’s development director, on the steering group to drive the plan forward.
The master plan for Athlone, which Mulryan has worked on for seven years, has garnered a lot of media and political attention. In the past year, he has met almost every cabinet minister about the project and now hopes to convince the government to take it on.
